ISU Named an NVIDIA Partner by Jensen Huang for the Second Consecutive Year

On May 19, ISU proudly hosted the “COMPUTEX 2025 Jensen Huang Keynote Watch Party.” As the only international comprehensive university in southern Taiwan selected to host this event, ISU was also honored to be named by Jensen Huang, the “Godfather of AI,” as one of NVIDIA’s official partner universities, further affirming the university’s outstanding achievements and strong capabilities in the field of AI. The event drew over 400 students from all nine colleges, who came together to explore cutting-edge AI technologies and future development trends. The atmosphere was electric as students seized the rare opportunity to engage with the latest global innovations in AI, reflecting the younger generation’s passion for and eagerness to embrace technology.

Since 2018, ISU has taken a forward-looking approach to developing AI applications, advancing across four central strategic pillars. Through “AI × Education,” ISU promotes the university-wide “X+AI” interdisciplinary innovation courses, ensuring that every student can integrate AI technology into their area of expertise. With “AI × Industry,” the University forms industry-university alliances with leading enterprises, allowing students to participate in real-world projects and connect with the industry early in their academic journey. Under “AI × Healthcare,” ISU leverages the resources of the E-DA Healthcare Group to develop innovative healthcare solutions and cultivate interdisciplinary talent proficient in both medical and AI fields. Finally, through “AI × Innovation,” ISU has built a vibrant innovation incubation environment that encourages students to apply AI technologies in developing innovative applications and entrepreneurial projects.

ISU has built top-tier facilities to create a real-world, hands-on learning environment, investing heavily in advanced teaching spaces. These include the AI Supercomputer Lab equipped with NVIDIA’s latest GPUs, the AI Innovation Center, the Semiconductor Advanced Process Virtual and Actual Areas, the Intelligent Design and Manufacturing Center, the Intelligent Medical Education Center, the Metaverse Center for Technology, Arts, and Design, and professional AI computer labs. Additionally, NVIDIA-certified instructors have been invited to campus to guide faculty members and students in mastering the latest industry trends and technologies, thereby laying a solid foundation for future career development.

“We are not merely teaching the theoretical foundations of AI. We provide students with real opportunities to apply and practice their learning. Through close collaboration with global tech leaders like NVIDIA, our students gain access to cutting-edge technologies and resources, equipping them with the skills to solve real- world problems,” stated President Guu. As the AI era unfolds, ISU is committed to expanding its teaching and research capabilities in artificial intelligence, aiming to become a key hub for AI talent cultivation in Taiwan. The University will further strengthen industry-university collaboration and broaden international exchange, building the most competitive AI learning environment and nurturing a new generation of AI talent ready to shine on the global stage.
