為妥善照護本校境外生，從境外學生尚未入學前至畢業求職，本校設有專職單位提供諮詢與輔導，辦理接送機、新生講習、簽證、居留證、工作證及保險、文化交流活動、職涯輔導等。境外生輔導措施屢受教育部及外界肯定，多次獲選境外生輔導工作績優學校。
為凝聚本校境外生，本處積極輔導成立「義守大學無國界學生聯盟, I-Shou University International Student Union」學生社團，鼓勵學生參與學校事務。
I-Shou University’s Office of International & Cross-strait Affairs (OICA) caters to students of all nationalities enrolled in the university. OICA had always been motivated to provide the most comfortable experience to all our overseas students staying in R.O.C. (Taiwan).
To enable to connect more to our students, we partner to different student organizations all over the university. Among them is the most reliable student organization, the I-Shou University International Student Union (ISUISU).

   To provide services to overseas students while living  in Taiwan  (document applications, mentoring & counseling, etc.)

   To increase opportunities for international  exposure to host country students
5. 推廣本校國際學術交流
   To promote international connections
6. 舉辦及推廣跨文化活動，增進多元文化了解
   To organize social and cultural  activities to promote intercultural understanding among students
7. 扮演各行政單位與境外學生相關事務之橋樑
   To act as a liaison to support other  ISU units with overseas students- related matters
