Regulations of National Health Insurance for International Students


1.        The Second-Generation NHI (National Health Insurance) was formally launched in Taiwan on Jan. 1st, 2013, announced by Bureau of National Health Insurance, Department of Health, Executive Yuan, Taiwan, R.O.C.

2.        According to the Second-Generation NHI, only foreign students (including those from Hong Kong and Macau) whose continuous residence in Taiwan is six months and more can be eligible for registering in the program through the school.

3.        For those who are not qualified for NHI, the school will provide assistance to purchase commercial group insurance instead. With which, the foreign students would obtain adequate healthcare.
