The Computing Center of I-Shou University (CCISU) was established in August 1993. We aimed for providing the complete computer system as well as related soft and hardware. We not only provide an efficient information environment for faculty and students, but also devoted in facilitating and managing the equipments of computer and Internet hardware. Moreover, to develop the advanced software and management technique system to support the teaching, researching and office work has always been our top priority. In order to offer all the faculty and students an efficient cyber environment, the Computer Center approves the Internet facilities every year gradually. Now, the range of Internet in the campus covers all the buildings and extent to all the offices, laborites and dormitory. Although school are located on the hill away from city, students and faulty are still able to gather information through Internet. Nowadays, center equipped many medium working stations as well as the advanced calculating server which provide all the research and other campus-related service, such as, e-mail, news, website, information transfer, and proxy.

 

◎Teaching and Researching Support:
There are 7 computer laboratories and one distant teaching classroom in I-Shou University. In order to provide the best quality of teaching, every computer is equipped with Internet and Microsoft windows software, and processing the work with PC. Moreover, 7 computer laboratories are kept maintenance frequently and equipped with the newest system for teaching purpose. Furthermore, the distant learning classroom is able to connect the related unit all over the world. We expect that students' learning effect through Internet can be improved.

◎Support of School Administration:
In 1995, computer-processing system includes grade, student affaire, academic affaire, personnel, acquisition, Cashier, web course, laboratory reservation, servitor management, accounting, salary and insurance, cast management system, etc., and other admission system (post graduate, postgraduate on-job course, continuing undergraduate course, 2-year on-job course). Students may go on the website for choosing course, recording grade, and checking teacher esteem, etc.

◎Future Expectation:
In order to improve quality of computer facilities, Internet quality of the school as well as the computerized administration. In the future, we expect that all the teachers and students are able to get information about all administration affaire efficiently through the net. Moreover, in order to welcoming the internationalization of 21st century, the board of directors and principal demand the computing and networking development for whole school.

◎Computer Center reinforce the maintenance for administrative computer:
If there is any computer breakdown that needed our service, please enter the website " Web service ? Forms" and download the " Administrative repair application form", after complete the form, you may hand in to our center with your supervisor's signature. Our center will dispose of your computer immediately. The application form has been given to all the office, please printed when you need it.
